It is characterized by being an important tourist destination, because it contains a large number of monuments, shrines, tourist areas and more tourists coming from the Western European continent, followed by the Eastern European continent and then the African continent.


The percentage of revenues from tourism to Egypt was 5.5% in 2008 AD, and in 2010 it reached 4.5%, while the relative distribution of tourists according to the statistics of 2013 AD by the places of visit reached:

22.6% for the Luxor region.
18.7% for Giza pyramids.
14.9% for Aswan of Cairo.
11.6% for the Egyptian Museum.
6.9% for South Sinai.


Tourist attractions in Egypt
Egypt has a large number of historical, historical, tourist, ancient Pharaonic, Coptic Christian and Islamic monuments.


From the Pharaonic monuments:

Karnak Temple: one of the largest temples built on the globe.
Statue of Queen Nefertiti: This Queen was distinguished as one of the most famous women in the world, the wife of Pharaoh Akhenaten.
Tutankhamun Tomb: Located in the Valley of the Kings on the west bank of the River Nile, also called the tomb of 62.
Luxor Temple: Built in 1400 BC.
Other features: the pyramids of Giza, which were built before 25 centuries BC, in addition to the pyramid of Hawara, the hill of Amarna, the mausoleum, the Statue of Isis and Horus, the temple of Abu Simbel, and the king's bracelet in Sinus I.

Coptic monuments:

The Church of St. George: Built by the late writer Athanasius in 684 AD, it is considered one of the most beautiful churches in the Roman fort.
Hanging Church: Located in the ancient district of Misr, it was built by Emperor Trajan Roman.
The Church of Abu Sirja was built at the end of the 4th century AD and the beginning of the fifth century AD.
Other landmarks include the Church of Mrs. Barbara, the Monastery of St. Anthony, the Cathedral of St. Mark, the Church of St. Mina and the Monastery of St. Catherine.

From Islamic monuments:

Qal'at Salah al-Din: It is located in al-Qalaa district on a hill of the Mokattam mountains.
Nakhl Fortress: Built in 1516 by the Mamluk Sultan Qansuwa al-Ghuri.
Other landmarks include: Sayeda Zeinab Mosque, Qal'at al-Jundi, Al-Nasser Muhammad ibn Qalawun Mosque, Qaitbay Castle, and Abu Abbas Al-Marsi Mosque.
