Beautiful archaeological city
The beautiful city of Jamila is a Roman amphitheater located on the northeastern side of the State of Algeria. It was founded at the end of the first century AD and is administratively administrated to Setif State at present. It is 50 kilometers away from the sea level and 900 meters above sea level. UNESCO is listed as a World Heritage Site in 1982 and is known as the City of Quécole and a beautiful city.



Location and geographical nature
The city is strategically located between the north and the south and between the east and west. It is located on a mountainous mountain range surrounded by valleys. It reached the height of its strength during the rule of the Antonin family. It was greatly distressed in the cultivation of olive trees and grains. Its surface is predominantly mountainous, Where mountains account for 50% of its total area, and its climate is characterized by a hot climate in the summer, and cool in the winter.



City Sections
The city consists of three sections: the old city known as the northern suburbs, the new city known as the southern regions, and the Christian area on the south-east of the city.



The ruins of a beautiful city
Hammamet: Located on the south side of the city, it has a ten-story Ritag, a large basin and two small basins separated by pink marble columns. It also has a gymnasium, a dressing room and a refrigeration hall.

Markets and shops: The shops were similar to the shops of Temaqad. The market consisted of six columns, a room for scales, a pond and a statue of God Mercur.

Fortress Fortum: became a center of political life in the city at the end of the second century and early third century AD.

The squares

Capitol: Located on the north-eastern side of Fortress Fortress, it is a political and religious center in the city, dedicated to the cult of Juno, Minerva, and Jupiter.

Roman Theater: carved in the plateau, accommodating 3000 spectators.
Museum of a beautiful city: contains many important monuments such as the Bakhus palace.

Old luxury homes: like the house of Yachus, and Castres.
